Discovered this place by accident on Google Maps. This is not your generic big hotel chain. Built in 1964 it is pure mid century architecture. Great staff and the breakfast was great. Unlike a lot of hotels, it has lots of good lighting in the room, good sink area in the bathroom and great "Tiki" theme throughout. It reminded us of the Polynesian Resort at Disney World (without the mouse). It does show 60 years of wear and tear, but it's solid hotel and a great price. We would love to come back and stay a few days here.
The lobby, restaurant/lounge and Cafe were all very nice and tastefully themed. This would lead one to believe that the rooms would be the same. They weren't. They were dated and kind of dingy. Not dirty or unsanitary, just kind of run down feeling. The beds were very comfortable however, and the shower was nice though the bath mat was stained and unappealing. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The restaurant and lounge wasn't open when we went to go and they did not have hours posted to know when they would be so we never visited those. The staff would be the best part of our stay. The front desk attendant and breakfast waiter were both very friendly and fun. Overall, I likely wouldn't stay there again, but it was an alright experience for the cost.
This resort is awesome! close by near the beach walking distance, the rooms where kept super clean the staff/cleaning crew was always active and around always working and polite anything needed would get done fast, the indoor and outdoor swimming pools where super clean.Front desk always helpful and kind. I have booked a one week stay but unfortunately due to bad weather we had to cancel the stay. I will recommend the rest of my friends and family to visit here for an awesome mini vacation at the Tiki Resort and i will come back as well again because my kids had a lot of fun. I personally want to thank the Resort Manager Kathryn for doing an outstanding job at the Tiki Resort. Thank you Kathryn we will see you again.Room 320 Checked out 7/24/17 11am.
Loved this hotel stayed here twice both times I have had no complaints.. very beautiful place walk to downtown.. views the mountains. Great pools and outdoor picnic areas.. also beds were comfortable in the suites loved the heard shape tub !!
The rate was great for a weekend getaway in September. The location is perfect for walking to Lake George beach or into town. The rooms are comfortable and offer a microwave and mini fridge. However, the bathroom is small and there is no where to put your luggage except on the floor. The breakfast was not good and We enjoyed Cafe Vero across the street much more for the same price. It had delicious coffee and baked goods in a cute setting. We did have a nice view of the lake from our room and enjoyed the fireworks over the lake.
