We used to stay at the lodges when we were in college during the shoulder season. The resort still is beautiful, but we swing by The Boathouse for dinner recently. It wasn't quite what we remembered. The service was great, but the food was a mixed bag. Good salads and great sides, but my wife's entree was drenched in butter, making it way too rich for her. My steak was good, but I ordered it with one of the rubs they offer. It came out with a pinch of seasoning so it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Overall, not bad, but not amazing.
Nice views, on the lake, the restaurant in the facilities is pretty amazing.

Great lake front properties, wonderful pool area and restaurant.
Went to dinner at the Boathouse which was phenomenal besides the outstanding view right on the lake. Great atmosphere and would definitely go just to have some drinks at the bar overlooking the water. Since the restaurant is in the lodges we looked around (as I was unfamiliar with them before visiting) and they looked amazing. The next trip we plan to Lake George the lodges will be on the top of the list to check out for accommodations.
Highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting to visit and stay in LG!
The lodges are great. There is a private beach, a heater pool, a playground for the kiddies, the boathouse restaurant (ok food but good drinks) and hammocks overlooking the lake. The cabins are nice, with washers and dryers, a kitchen and lots of sleeping space. We go here every summer!
