The beach was also ridiculous. We walked down to it (it's not right next to the hotel and it is a steep hill). It is only good if you want to sunbathe. The ropes only allowed us to go about 6ft in 1 to 2 feet of water. No swimming allowed. After the beach, we decided to go to the pool. Even though it had been just cleaned, the water was extremely murky but the worst part that we noticed about a few minutes after we had been in the pool was the light fixture that was detached from the wall and was only held together by two wires. It was beyond scary. I will never go back and would not recommend it to anyone staying in Lake George.
I will start with the only good thing about staying at this hotel. The rooms were clean but luxurious they were not. Beyond that, it was a nightmare.
Breakfast consisted of one type of bagel, white or wheat English muffins, two types of cereal and old fruits. Three of the areas shown on the buffet are used to hold the glasses and juices. The restaurant itself was run down.
Went to check out which should only take 30 seconds but stood there for 30 minutes before the lady behind the desk asked what I needed help with. A gas station deli has a better breakfast than the "continental breakfast" here.
Service with a smile does not apply there. The check-in and check-out staff were rude. They acted like they were doing me a favor by letting me stay in their hotel. Also, not stated on their website but given on a paper for the guest to sign, is that they do not provide towels for either the pool or the beach and it costs $20 a towel if one of their is used and $250 if the room is not considered clean enough when the guest leaves.
The Clinton Inn has a beautifully landscaped property, it's very cozy. It has the most wonderful tall trees, well maintained grounds. They also have an in ground pool, tennis courts and basketball courts as well. Love this place, I'll definitely be staying here again!!
One of the worst stays ever!!!!
Wifii was a joke. It is only available in their office. Our room was in the closest building to their office about half way down and we had absolutely no internet. When we inquired about it, we were told that it was what they had and to deal with it.
Very nice staff, rooms are spacious and clean. Beautiful beach and nice pool area. Perfect for couples, families or single travelers.
This place is absolute TRASH the cost is unreasonable and the "free breakfast" is no good. I highly do not recommend this place. The room service is also no good and the front desk closes really early. If you request for something then it MIGHT TAKE A DAY to get to you. The only good thing about this place would be the beach but it has no lifeguard.
